List Laundering by Alan Magliocca launched on December 3, 2009.  Because I’m in need of extending my list dramatically, I got my hands on a copy of the system.   After all it only cost me $4.95 to review it for one week.  After that, it will cost me $47 per month to continue to participate in the forum and  get a 30 minute one-on-one consultation.  There is an up front add-on charge to get the video series, but that may not be essential for your needs.

So, what is list laundering?

Basically, the List Laundering system is a very straightforward step-by-step method to develop an extensive money making contact list in a relatively short period of time.  The system is broken down into five modules which explain in detail how Alan develop a list of 11,697 subscribers in less than 75 days.

Module 1: The manual

The manual is a PDF e-book of about 50 pages which describes the step-by-step method. Alan’s methods seem unusual because I’ve personally never seen them before.  They are indeed step-by-step  requiring that you complete the one step before moving on to the next. They make sense to me and I certainly plan to use them over the next several weeks to see just how well it works

Module 2: The checklist  (a.k.a.  the dirty laundry list)

Allen has created a really easy to use checklist that will enable you to check off  each of the step-by-step processes as they are described in the manual. Basically, you don’t move on to the next step until you have fully completed the  step before. He claims that it’s totally foolproof and once you have completed all the steps, you should have a successful business that makes you money.

Module 3:  The Forum

Alan has also established a forum to which members can register and exchange ideas and concepts about list building. He and his highly successful partners including Michael Edwards will also participate in the forum to answer your questions as you go along.

Module 4: one-on-one coaching

In addition to the manual, the foolproof checklist, and the forum, Alan is offering a private 30 minute consultation with his trusted staff to help ensure that you get on the right path to success using the system. In my view, this 30 minute consultation alone will be well worth the investment. I’ll post the results of my personal experience with this consultation.

Module 5: the Video Compilation

For those of us who learn quicker visually, Alan is also included a video series.   However, the video compilation as near as I can tell is a direct representation of what is included in the manual, but it does enable you to look over Alan’s shoulder directlyto see exactly what he means by the steps in the manual. It will be particularly useful to those of you who are relative novices in Internet marketing.

What it Still Needs

The course itself is focused only on the process of developing your contact list, an doesn’t teach very extensively about what to do with it once you have it and how to manage it going forward.  However, Alan has made available a series of no-cost bonuses that will provide all the guidance you need to make real good money with your list.

The bottom line

In my view, this is an extraordinarily simple and straightforward system to implement. It leads even the novice step-by-step through a process that almost assuredly will develop a money making contact list for you. Like all good things, it will take a bit of time and effort to implement the system effectively.  Basically, my take is that you’ll need to spend 30-60 days developing your list to the point that you can start using it to great effect.

It will require you to interact online with other like-minded and similarly motivated individuals in the process of co-developing your lists. Because the cost is so low, and I believe that the benefits from them playing the system will be so high, I have to give up my strongest recommendation.

My first impression

The site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel.  It is easy to read and understand.  Joining the site was easy and painless–they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive–I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes.  Inside the site, you create links and ads–the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into “Perfect Traffic Storm” links.  You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Perfect Traffic Storm Ad Generator, which is very easy to use.  You can create as many links and as many ads as you like.  And they are organized in a logical way–links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference.  Also, since the link generator is the tool you’ll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login.  Very smart!

After you’ve created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic.  Just use and promote the new Perfect Traffic Storm link instead of the original source link you had.  Every time the Perfect Traffic Storm link is clicked, the page loads followed by a cool slide-up ad window at the bottom.  It displays an ad PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Perfect Traffic Storm.  So if anyone clicks the Perfect Traffic Storm image they see the site, and if they signup they become your referral.  It’s a great viral feature because you can build referrals without even trying to just by using the site.

Now every time the ad window displays (your Perfect Traffic Storm links get clicked) you earn credits that get YOUR ad displayed in the ad windows when other members’ links get clicked.  So the more clicks, the more times your ads get displayed.

And this works virally–

Meaning as you make referrals into Perfect Traffic Storm (either by promoting it or just using it and visitors click the Perfect Traffic Storm image on the ad window to join) you also earn ad credits on THEIR link clicks.  And this works up to 5 levels deep.  So you can create a massive amount of free ad views and web traffic by referring others to Perfect Traffic Storm also.

I didn’t get to test the full effect of a big downline yet (I just got the tool) but I can tell you the rest of the site works exactly as stated–my links got clicked, I earned credits, and my ads got displayed.  Perfect Traffic Storm even tracked my results so I know how many clicks and how many ad displays.  That was an impressive unadvertised extra feature.

How about downline emailing too…

There is one more benefit and feature which might be the best of them all–downline emailing.  You can email your downline with offers, promotions, or whatever you like, and here is where Perfect Traffic Storm really shines.  They took time to make the emailing often enough that it’s valuable as a user, but no so often that it’s a burden to your downline.  But the best part about this feature (and actually the credit earning too) is that it tells you exactly how long until you can mail again.  Now THAT’s cool.

Overall I have to say I am impressed with Perfect Traffic Storm.  It is simple yet powerful, and delivers on its promises.  Highly recommended to anyone who wants to increase traffic and advertising.

The use of an autoresponder for online marketing email campaigns to your contact list is a given.   This article is about a way to use auto responders for niche  lead generation that you may not have tried before, or may even have forgotten about.

The reality is that this online marketing strategy has been used for a long time, but because it’s so simple, many may have neglected its use. If that is you, then perhaps you need to rethink your position on this tried and proven tactic.  Here’s why!

I’m sure you’re well aware that new your users totaling in the millions come online each everyday. The reason most of them come online is to get new information that might help them solve a problem.  The fact of matter is that many of these new to the Internet persons may well never been exposed to the marketing tactic we’re discussing. So let’s get on with it.

Step #1: Set up a new project directory on your web site that is password assessable.   This is where your opt in subscribers will gain access to your information. Name your project “Secret Steps to Incredible Weight-loss”, or something to that effect that is relevant to your list. The project and informational sequence needs to have a compelling name that will cause the your subscribers to want it.

Step #2: Find some really good reports new books articles or perhaps software that  is particularly relevant to your niche market. Upload the information to your new directory where your subscribers will be able to access it when they fill out the autoresponder form for the new list of prospects you are building.  Be sure to offer this information for free.

Step #3: Importantly, you should now prepare a series of autoresponder messages, say 5 to 7, that would go out to your list. They should create buzz about “My Secret Steps..” and what it is all about and offering them an opportunity to go to your “sales page”.  Each of the messages should provide a tidbit or two of good solid information. The idea is to sequence them in a way that they’ll generate an increasing buzz as the reader progresses through. Arrange them to be sent out over a week or so.

Step #4: Prepare conversational sales page about “My Secret Steps…” and be sure to let them know up front that this information is free.  Make the subscriber feel that there part of and important and special event should they choose to opt in to your new informational stream.

It’s important to have an end date to your offer, and that you in fact do shut down the offer the end date is reached. This is to maintain credibility with your new and old subscribers, as you have represented you brand new free offer as special to them.

So what is the payoff?

When both old and new subscribers have opted in to your new list, you can then end out new notifications to them about what’s going on with “My Secret…” Then, of course, when you gain their trust by providing them good content information, you have the earned the right to present opportunities for them to purchase other products for which you are an affiliate in the same niche market.

So, we go ahead and try the sequential autoresponder marketing tactic. It’s tried and proven method that still works and it can still be very profitable when used in the right way.

A good email marketing campaign design results from several things.  Keeping it simple is the first and foremost, but if it contains a flashy headline and opening with no real content, you are unlikely to get the results you desire.   People avoid the ‘gimmicky’, so if yours is, you should consider a redesign as outlined below.

A “Newsletter” is Better

The Nielson Norman Group reports that the average email newsletter reader spends an average of fifty seconds in review.   However, a simple email is likely to hold a readers attention for only about four seconds.   So, a newsletter is a better choice because it will likely hold your readers attention for ten times as long. This now brings us to the ideal design of the newsletter or email.

Design Copy for Target Audience

What is most important is to establish an email marketing design that will strongly attract attention, but also hold it for an extended period of time.   Most consumers only read a small fraction of the emails they get, and most of the ones that are actually opened are only scanned for content.  Different people react to different advertising stimuli, so you need to be sure to design your copy in a way that targets the kind of audience you are trying to appeal to.

A Personalized Compelling Subject Line

Because most emails are never opened, it is critical that your subject line stand out from the rest to ever have a chance.  Most email marketers personalize the subject line, as well as the actual body copy.   Your subject line must be presented in a way that clearly promises a unique and exceptional solution to a particular problem or issue.  Alternative, the subject line may challenge a commonly held belief or notion that your target audience may hold.  Take a few days to list the subject lines that have compelled you to actually read an incoming email, then analyze them to understand why they worked with you.

Additive Colors and Graphics Can Help

Another of the key elements in your email design may involve the use of colors and graphics in ways that  that quickly call  the attention of your readers to key benefit statements and calls for action.  At the same time, be sure that the colors do not impact the flow of the narrative in a negative by integrating them smoothly, and that any graphics employed have a clear purpose other than to simply be pretty or attractive.  Colors and graphics must be a clear element of the message you are trying to convey.

Key Elements/Challenges Upfront

Additionally, recognizing that you really have only 4-5 seconds to gain the attention of the typical email scanner, you need to present your copy in a way that the key elements and challenges of your message stand out quickly.   Furthermore, they must be presented in a way that not only grabs attention, but also compels the reader to continue on to get even better information.

Clear Call for Action

Finally, your email marketing message must convey a clear and compelling call for action from the reader.  Be very specific about what you want them to do and provide them all the information and contact information they will need to get the acton accomplished quickly.
